Sunon Honored with “Brand of the Year Award” at the China General Chamber of Commerce 2026 Lunar Year of the Horse Gala

New York, January 15, 2026 — On the evening of January 15th local time, the China General Chamber of Commerce in the United States (CGCC) held its 2026 Lunar Year of the Horse Awards Gala in New York under the theme “Riding the Waves Together, Moving Forward with Determination.” The event brought together nearly 300 representatives from the political and business communities of China and the United States to explore new avenues for cooperation and development.

In his keynote address, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng emphasized that, despite growing global uncertainties, the historical truth that “cooperation benefits both sides, while confrontation harms both” between China and the United States remains unchanged. He expressed hope that both nations would implement the consensus reached by their respective heads of state, strengthen areas of cooperation, and work jointly to foster healthy and sustainable bilateral relations.

Hu Wei, President of CGCC and General Manager of the Bank of China in the United States, highlighted in his remarks that trust and collaboration are particularly valuable in today’s rapidly changing world. He noted that the Year of the Horse, symbolizing vitality, ambition, and perseverance, encourages both sides to continue advancing together toward shared goals of innovation, growth, and partnership.

That evening, the CGCC honored Sunon, alongside Sany Group and Pop Mart, with the highly coveted “Brand of the Year Award.” The recognition commends Sunon’s outstanding contributions to fostering economic and trade relations while promoting local community development and global economic growth.
